Tarporley Special Events

Camden Canals & Narrowboat Association is involved in some very special events with Tarporley throughout the year:

Santa's Special Saturday - at the London Canal Museum - December

Father Christmas, Boat trip and more - See Santa on a Boat

Tarporley will take you on a short cruise on the Regent's Canal. There is a cabin, so you will not have to travel outside. In the rear cabin, Father Christmas will see each child for a few minutes during the cruise and there will be a small wrapped present for each child.

Angel Festival

copyright: everydaylife.style

Tarporley attends the Angel Festival on the first Sunday in September each year.  She is usually moored on the towpath side, between City Road lock and the bridge where Wharf Road, N1 crosses the Regent's Canal. There's always plenty to see and do. Why not come down to visit the boat and meet some of our volunteers?

Halloween Boat Trips

Usually held the last weekend of October [They will be on Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th in 2011].  Organised by and departing from the London Canal Museum - Tarporley is one of 3 narrowboats involved.

It is impossible, but our Halloween event gets bigger and more fantastic every year - we took over 400 witches and indescribable monsters through Islington Tunnel in 2010!  Even more surprisingly they all came out the other end!

Advance booking essential - to find out more and book tickets please go to LCM bookings

Please note - tickets sell out fast and usually go on sale early September.

N.B.  This is a family event - it is not suitable for adults without children, or for children under 16 without responsible adults accompanying.

Kings Place Special Events

We also run short 'taster' trips through Islington tunnel and back from time to time during certain Kings Place special family events - individual tickets can be obtained through Kings Place Box Office
